SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Two girls and a boy were arrested in San Francisco after allegedly stealing 45 pairs of Lululemon leggings from a North Bay shopping mall, according to the Central Marin Police Authority.

CMPA officers responded Wednesday around 2:40 p.m. to The Village at Corte Madera on the report of a theft. A witness told authorities that several suspects left the business with stolen merchandise and got into a black Hyundai before fleeing the area.

As officers alerted other law enforcement agencies in the Bay Area, investigators learned the same suspects and vehicle were involved in another theft days earlier at the shopping center.

Automated license plate readers caught the Hyundai entering San Francisco, and SFPD officers attempted a traffic stop. “The driver failed to yield, resulting in a pursuit,” police said. “After officers lost sight of the vehicle, SFPD deployed a drone to help locate the suspects.”

The drone operator watched three suspects exit the car with the suspected stolen merchandise and get into a rideshare vehicle. Officers stopped the rideshare driver and detained the passengers.

Forty-five Lululemon leggings and five jackets were recovered. The estimated value of the stolen merchandise is over $6,000, according to authorities.

The suspects were booked into the Marin County Juvenile Hall.
